How everyone can succeed at Maths

Posted: 7th July 2017 How everyone can succeed at Maths

In the course of delivering Fingerprint Learning workshops I commonly hear people say that they are were no good at Maths when they were at school. It seems that this, more than any other subject, is one they consider to have been a weakness. It is also the subject where I have encountered a significant difference had been made to students by the kind of teacher who taught them Maths.

Maths was deemed to be one in which they failed or did not succeed - and this has remained with them as a point of weakness through their lives.

Fingerprint Learning is committed to applying the insights of discoveries about the brain into the realm of teaching and learning. Even in the second decade of the 21st century so many applications of neuroscience are still not making it into classrooms.

Here is the link to a brief video about how maths could be taught which applies whole brain learning to the teaching of maths …and is fascinating a fascinating approach based on Whole Brain Learning and Teaching. It last about 12 minutes and is well worth the time.

We need much, much more of this approach in education!
